KENYA: Sauti Sol on a Mission to Get Camp Mulla Back Together?
29 February 2016

Could there be a chance for Camp Mulla to get back together? Well many of their fans and Sauti Sol too wish they could even if it’s just for one more project.
Few hiphop groups have been able to achieve what Camp Mulla have even in the very short time that the group was together.
When they dropped their first jam ‘Addicted’, it was an instant success. Kenyans were mesmerized by their new sound and so was the world seeing as they were the first Kenyan group to receive a BET nomination.
They were a revelation to Kenya’s hiphop scene which had just started to show glimpses of progression after being left behind for so long thanks to ‘Kapuka’ and ‘Genge’ music failing to grow.
In fact their only equals in terms of achievements are probably Afropop group Sauti Sol. And now the Afropop band have come out to communicate perhaps what many hiphop lovers in Kenya are wishing.
“I wish Camp Mulla would reunite one last time, for just one last album…” the group wrote on their Facebook page.

And the fans seem to agree, check out what they said:

As to their current whereabouts, the group members are all currently perusing their individual interests and few of them have managed to remain in the music industry.
All round their disbandment was a big loss to the Kenyan music industry and the chances of them getting back together (even if we all wish they could) are pretty slim.
