EXCLUSIVE: Antoneosoul Reveals Why He Signed For Tanzanian Record Label and Talks About New Song Written By Bien Aime

It’s been a while since we heard from Afropop/Afroneosoul singer Anto Neosoul. Last we did, he’d just released his own cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’ which he dubbed the ‘Ghetto Reply’, which was one of the few amazing covers of the song to come out of Kenya.

Now the ‘Paragasha’ singer is making headlines with his recent signing to Tanzanian Record Label, Panamusiq.

The move has captured the attention of many seeing as he is perhaps one of the first Kenyan based artists to sign for a Tanzanian Record Label.

However in a phone interview with the artist, Panamusiq are the only label to have shown interest in him. He also said the move is expected to help him build a global brand around his name.

This comes as a major shock for an artist such as him, who is already established in Kenya as one of the biggest Afroneosoul artists with hit songs like ‘Chips Funga’, ‘Qwerty Love’ and ‘Paid My Dues’ under his belt.

Anto’s latest album ‘Starborn’ was released in 2014 and was well received by music lovers.

Speaking to Mdundo about his future plans, he revealed that plans were underway for the release of new single ‘Sijafika Mwisho’ which is written by Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime.

This could potentially be a hit record waiting to happen, seeing as Bien has a track record of writing some amazing songs one of the biggest being the Swahili version of ‘Na Gode’ by Yemi Alade.
