Daddy Owen to celebrate his birthday tommorow by giving back
28 January 2014
Born Owen Mwatia on January 29th more than 25 years ago, Daddy Owen will celebrate his birthday tomorrow and he chooses to revere his special day by giving back to the society through sharing gifts and spending time with people living with disabilities and in children homes.
On his social media page the MAMA Award winner posted the following message:
“On Wednesday the 29th January is My Birthday. .. I wanna share a gift with an institution for People living with disability or a Children's home . . As my fans kindly help me pick one...”
The King of Kapungala has been on the fore-front in creating awareness that ‘Disability is inability’ featuring Denno who is blind on his hit single Mbona ,and always ensuring that he shares his blessings with the less privileged.
Musicians have the power of inspiring and uplifting listeners with their music but Daddy Owen has proven that apart from making a change using his voice, it’s even better to walk the talk by letting your actions to speak louder.
