Sauti Sol bag two nominations in Channel O Awards!!

With voices that always bring an element of calmness and excitement, afro fusion band Sauti Sol seem to be unstoppable when it’s about making phenomenal music.
They have managed for the second time in a row to get nominated for Africa’s most prestigious awards, Channel O Music Video Awards, in the categories of most gifted Afro Pop and most gifted East African Video.
Speaking to one of the notable band members Bien Baraza, the artist expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm towards their nomination.
“I was very excited to learn about our nomination. I’m very grateful to God and to our fans who have always shown constant support, and just for knowing our music is getting across Africa,” he said, adding that “it is very exciting to see people accepting our transition from boys to men. Very humbling.”
The group is currently working on their third studio album expected to drop by the end of the year.
Other Kenyan artists who have been nominated for the awards include P-Unit (Most Gifted Ragga Video and Most Gifted East African Video categories), STL (Most Gifted Female Video of the Year and Most Gifted Video of the Year categories), rapper X-Tatic (Most Gifted Duo and Most Gifted Video categories) and Victoria Kimani (Most Gifted Newcomer and the Most Gifted R 'n B Video categories).
In total Kenya has managed to bag 10 nominations, putting it among the countries with most nominations.
