A few months after her Kirumba "Juste Un Peu" for which she is nominated for a 2016 Kora Award, the Congolese Princess of Afrosoul SYSSI MANANGA releases "NIEKESE" featuring RICO AMAJ, the Ivorian King of R'nB, revealed by Star Africa ("Touch Me", "Tinguele", "Fana Fana").
For this new single, the mixed-origin artist also joined forces with Danish electro crew OKAY FUNKY, which recently entered the African music scene with a bang thanks to their collaboration with Eddy Kenzo on the hit "Free Style".
NIEKESE means "smoothly" in Lingala. Sung in the artists’ native languages -Lingala (Congo) and Baoule (Ivory Coast) - the song is about "smoothly" bouncing off obstacles in your path and continuing enjoying life no matter what. Far from bling-bling and superficial trends, the video of NIEKESE is a compendium of charm and humor, 100% made in Ivory Coast. It shows a modern, young and urban Africa, full of talent and style.
