Jaguar gains international recognition

Just few weeks after releasing his song ‘Kioo’ Jaguar is now enjoying continental and international fame after the hit song aired on France international music channel Trace TV.

The song which was released on the 6th of this month along with the video became an immediate hit with fans across East Africa and it was just a matter of time before the talented Jaguar captured the African continent and even beyond.

In the video shot by Enos Olik, Jaguar plays as an inmate at one of Kenya’s most notorious prisons the Kamiti Prison, singing about his clean business after reports emerged in the media that he is suspected of dealing with drug trafficking.

This comes as such a relief to the Kenyan music industry as most Kenyan videos usually fall short of the standards demanded by continental and international music channels and rarely get played to an international audience.

This will cement Jaguars place as one of the most accomplished and successful Kenyan artists with several hit songs under his name such as Navuka Border, Kigeugeu and Kipepeo.

Jaguar was recently in neighboring Tanzania to work with some of the biggest names in Bongo land which just indicate his ability to diversify his music across the borders and his plans to give us more music.
