Soft Swahili singer Danny 'the gifted' has the best project for 2014!
24 January 2014
“ I want to build my brand, spread the ministry and grow my personal life”, simply that; fast rising gospel artist Danny Gift told us when he visited our offices on Thursday.
We had asked him about his plans for this year after successfully making a breakthrough into the music scene last year that saw him do a collabo with one of the finest gospel artist in the country, Daddy Owen.
Danny, real name Daniel Ng’ang’a, is one of the stars who participated in “Exodus 2 Stardom” competition hosted by Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) in 2011 and he was able to get his fare share of knowledge and experience at the academy.
Having being brought up in a Christian family and leading a fairly moral life, he took his gospel and art more at heart, and this far he says its through God.
“I started singing in 2008 having grown up as an Akorino adherent, though on adult hood there’s the option of choosing what you wanna do that’s why I wear the turban no more,” he revealed.
His soft singing voice and Swahili prowess has made this young man the most talked about new Gospel artist lately.
Danny recorded his first song ‘Najua Upo’ last year after which he has released a successful number of tracks including ‘Njia Ya Msalaba’ with Daddy Owen.
His most recent track is ‘Sawa Sawa’ available on Mdundo. We look forward to working with him as he spreads the Gospel.
