Jimmy Gait works with Africa's top producer on his new single
24 January 2014
Jimmy Gait is most certainly an artist who always has something up his sleeve and though we haven't heard something new from him in a while , fans are most definitely going fast fall in love with his new single Makekes that brings out a different and versatile side of the artist.
The song whose audio was made available to the public yesterday on his you tube channel has an upbeat danceable Afro-jazz tone to it, and as he explained to Mdundo during an interview ,the song was inspired by personal experience,
"Most of the songs i do are always out of personal experience and this one particularly was just to inspire people to see that God can change your life at any moment from nothing to something with the word Makekes basically meaning blessings"
With plans to penetrate into the international market this year, Jimmy Gait enthusiastically confessed to have used one of the top producers in Africa to work on the video of the song ,
"The video was shot in south Africa and will be out in a week and the Producer, GodFather, who worked with me happens to be one of the top producers in the continent having worked with artists like Dbanj and Psquare, so i believe he has the experience to anchor me into the international market"
Seems that most artists have some major plans for the year ahead and i am most certainly looking forward to hearing more from this phenomenal artist who always gives fans a reason to smile and praise the Lord.
