Thousands of musicians attempt to make it in the music industry every year but very few succeed. As much as music is about passion and talent we all agree that it’s also business with the sole purpose of making money.
Calculated using such factors as endorsement value, popularity, show rates, sales, awards, YouTube views, appearance in newspapers, investment, social media presence, influence and many other factors,Forbes Africa in partnership with Channel O presented the latest list of top 10 richest artistes in Africa.
2. Don Jazzy – Producer. CEO Mavin Records, influential producer, has a MTN, Samsung and Loyal Milk endorsement.
He also has D’Banj, Kanye West, Beyonce and Jay Z on production credit.
3. P-Square – Music Duo. Featured on Forbes Africa list twice, sold out concerts, presidential guest in at least 5 African countries.
4. D’banj – He’s a Music Artiste, an International music brand, GOD Music deal, is on a Sony Entertainment deal.
