No more hits from Davido this year

Nigeria’s star Davido is not planning on releasing any more hits this year after running the show in 2013 releasing hit after hit.
In an interview with one of Nigeria’s top entertainment magazines, the star said that he will not be releasing any new music in 2014 and will instead focus on managing his record label HKN Gang which includes upcoming artists such as Sina Rambo and B- red.
“This year I am not going to do as much as compared to the last year just to give other upcoming artists an opportunity to grow, I want to focus on managing my record label HKN Gang which works with so many upcoming artists,” he said.
This statement however seemed to have sparked some uproar amongst fans who claimed it was very proud and rude of him since he is not as big as he makes himself look.
Davido is regarded as one of the top Nigerian artists with several hit songs under his name such as Natural Love featuring Queen Godis, IL= LOVE, La Tourmente and Intro among others; his song “Skelewu’ has topped charts across the continent since its release last year.
He recently featured in Diamonds ‘Number One’ remix and so far the song has become a massive hit not only in Africa but internationally.
