Performance line up for the 56th annual Grammy Awards

The countdown to music's biggest night, the 56th annual Grammy celebration is down to 5 days, as it will take place this Sunday Jan. 26, 2014, at Staples Center in Los Angeles to celebrate some of the year’s most successful music acts; one of the most anticipated moments of the night is the always the performances and below is a list of some of the acts set to brace the stage.

Kendrick Lamar - The rapper received seven nominations stemming from his debut studio album "Good Kid, M.A.A.D city"

Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder - Rodgers, Williams and Wonder will join Daft Punk for a special Grammy night performance.

Imagine Dragons - The Las Vegas-based rock group took over the charts last year and will showcase some of their best acts.

Katy Perry - The singer is nominated for two awards, including Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Lorde -- New Zealand-born Lorde will perform at the Grammys following a stellar breakthrough year on the music scene

Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton - The four country singers will partake in a special Grammy moment

Metallica and Lang Lang - Legendary rockers Metallica will team up with Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China Lang Lang for a special performance

Pink featuring Nate Ruess - Performing ‘Just Give Me a Reason,’ the two will perform for the first time together.

Robin Thicke and Chicago - Thicke will be joining the band Chicago on stage for a special Grammy performance

Taylor Swift -- seven-time grammy winner Swift who has four nominations is set to take the stage.

Speculations also have it that the Queen of the industry Madonna and Beyonce will brace the stage too but there have been no official confirmations yet.

Two-time Grammy winner and actor LL Cool J will again return this year as the host of the awards ceremony.
