“When bad videos happen to good songs” – that is what summarizes my experience with DJ Sliqe’s new video for iLife. The song has been a fixture of my summer playlist since its release . With JR’s and OKmalumkoolkat’s creative verse, WTF’s catchy hook – the ball had been teed up perfectly and even the most tame of hits for the video would have resulted in the perfect offering to close out 2015.

But somewhere between mastering the song and writing the treatment for this video things went terribly wrong. The video depicts a game of laser tag that goes a little too far and can only be saved by a CO2 gun wielding OKmalume, a nurse in a bad role play outfit and a case of dark cider. I kid you not.
The audio for iLife is still fire; I will just be avoiding any eye contact whenever the video pops up.
