Amount put into Diamonds 'Number one' remix video causes controversy

Currently having amassed a total of 246,913 views in just a week, Diamonds remix to his hit single ‘My number one’ featuring Nigeria’s very own Davido seems to have hit the nail on the head for the fans and it is still gaining a massive amount of airplay from all radio stations but lately it has been making news for some different reasons.

It has been revealed that Diamond spent a whooping Sh2.1 million in making the video, this amount not including the cost of Diamond and his six-man team travelling to Lagos and accommodation for two weeks, In November last year; and for this reasons there has been some outrage amongst fans and fellow musicians who claim that this amount is ridiculous and not the price worth being charged for a song remix.

Well if I am to chip in my perspective into this I think as an artist you get back what you put into your music and though it may be a lot of money this amount cannot surpass the returns he will get back from the song itself.

The song was directed by renowned Nigerian video producer Clarence Peters who critics have attacked for overcharging.
