The _Prince Helly Foundation (PHF)_ has officially launched its community football club, _PHF UNITED FC_, in a bold move to empower young people, nurture talent, and strengthen social ties in Abako, Alebtong District and surrounding areas.

The new club will serve _both boys and girls_, underscoring PHF’s commitment to inclusivity, equal opportunity, and youth development. It will operate under the foundation’s guiding principle: _"One Family, One Voice"_.

A Club Born From Community Need

According to PHF leadership, football has long been a unifying force in Lango communities. But in Abako, many young people lack structured platforms to develop their talent and stay productively engaged.

"PHF UNITED FC is not just about football," a PHF spokesperson said during the announcement. "It is about discipline, teamwork, education, and giving our boys and girls a sense of belonging. When we play together, we speak with one voice."

The name _"UNITED"_ was deliberately chosen to reflect the foundation’s core values of togetherness, peace, and collective progress.

Club Structure and Vision

The club will hold weekly training sessions, community matches, and inter-village tournaments. PHF also confirmed that plans are underway for _PHF UNITED FC_ to register and compete in district-level leagues in Alebtong later this year.

Official Badge Unveiled

Alongside the launch, PHF unveiled the official club badge — a _black and white circular emblem_ featuring a football at the center.

_"PHF UNITED FC"_ arches across the top, while the motto _"One Family, One Voice"_ sits at the bottom, all framed by laurel leaves symbolizing victory and unity.

The foundation said the black and white colors were chosen to represent clarity, discipline, and professionalism. The colors will be used on jerseys, banners, and all club materials.

Next Steps and Call to Community

PHF has called on community leaders, parents, well-wishers, NGOs, and corporate partners to support the club through donations of equipment, coaching expertise, and mentorship programs.

Player registration will begin this month at the _PHF Secretariat in Abako_. The foundation says both experienced players and beginners are welcome to try out.
