The third season of Coke Studio Africa is set to premier in October across Africa, showcasing some of the best musical talent in the continent.
This year’s show adopted the mash-up format where a song is created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, usually by overlaying the track of one song seamlessly over the track of another to create a new piece featuring both musicians.

The new season will feature artists from Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
And with only a few weeks to the premier of Coke Studio Africa season 3, Coca Cola has joined hands with Safaricom to reward Coke consumers with free data and text message bundles. Dubbed ‘Under the Crown’, consumers can participate by buying a 300ml or 500ml and send the unique code under the crown.
The campaign targets the growing internet penetration in the country, with mobile phones being the most used device to get onto the internet. According to the latest Communication Authority of Kenya fourth quarter sector report for the year 2014/15, there are an estimated 29.6 million users. Mobile data subscriptions contribute to 99% of the total subscriptions.
