Every now and then, more times than the word often would describe it, a new artist emerges and takes on the task of making a name for themselves in the music arena. But during a rare occassion, when the stars and planets are in perfect synergy and when the moon is blue, an artist worth turning the heads of legendary singing sirens and acknowledgement from the heaveny choir emerges. And this time dear reader, that artist who has the seven heavens trembling in cheer goes by the name Kalahi
!
Kalahi, new to Mdundo she maybe, but she is no alien to the music world; she is accustomed to live performances and most recently during an interview with yours truly, she revealed that she does have several other songs which she will be exposing the world too soon enough.

Her debut song 'Kitunguu' produced Polycarp (member of MAMA Award winning band Sauti Sol) , 'Kitunguu' is a song that desribes those who find themselves in relationships that only bear scars and tears. She hence uses the word 'Kitunguu' Swahili for 'Onion' as a metaphorical expression of tears you have to bear for a particular cause. ''Toroka yee ni kitunguu... kimbia, hepa usiteseke yee ni kitunguu...hepa, hepa... '' she sings.
