P-Unit go beyond borders in their new track L.O.V.E
16 December 2013
Barely days after winning two awards at the coveted Channel O Awards P Unit released yet another hit single for their worldwide fans dubbed “L.O.V.E” demonstrating the groups’ musical agility in the choice of integrating “Genge”
The song with a slow kwaito rhythmic sound is definitely different from anything fans have heard before and as Gabu narrates,it was something they enjoyed working on,
“We have done several club bangers in the past and L.O.V.E brings out the softer side of our individual personalities. Love defines who we are, what we think, what we do and determines how we relate with other people”
During their recent stint in South Africa, the group took the opportunity to explore the scenic nature of Cape Town by making it the location to shoot the video for the new song L.O.V.E and as Boneye explained its part of their effort to create borderless music
“With time we have proved that our music whose humble origins are in Kenya has the appeal for a wider audience. Integrating our new strategy to take our music to greater heights we are keen on creating border-less tracks that appeal to any music lover anywhere in the world.”
Even as the holiday season sets in, the group continues to work relentlessly and have several planned performances throughout the festive season. They are also working closely with their producer Lamu Musyoka of Decimal Records to fine tune the release of the groups’ second album set for launch in the coming weeks.
