Prosper Ndilima, a born-again Christian artist, has carved a name for himself in Kenya’s gospel music scene. Born Ndilima Munyithya, he hails from Kitui County in Eastern Kenya and is the third-born in a family of six. Despite financial struggles that saw him complete his high school education in just three years, Prosper excelled, emerging as the top student in the 2003 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). His charisma made him a popular figure among students and his local village, where he entertained through dance and rap performances.

After high school, Prosper moved to Nairobi to seek better opportunities and support his family back home. He took up various jobs, including working as a waiter at a food court, a petrol station attendant, and eventually as a business manager. While working, he pursued further education, earning a Diploma in Supplies and Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).

Career
Prosper’s music career began in secular rap at Calif Records and Duplex Studios. However, his path shifted in 2007 when he joined Pastor Mugambi Mukua at the National Christian Youth Network (NCYN). Here, he began organizing youth and arts-oriented outreach events, including the popular Jesus Night event. His major breakthrough in gospel music came in 2010 with his hit song
Kiinze Kya Yesu (Dance for Jesus). Since then, Prosper has released three albums: Kiinze Kya Yesu, Kusangasanga (Joyful Celebration), and Mwiai Museo (Good Lord).

Known for his versatility, Prosper can compose, record, and perform in Kamba, Swahili, and English, giving him a broad appeal both within the Kamba community and the urban contemporary market. His other hit songs include Kinyuriru, Sasani Oficial, and Rafiki wa Kweli. He has collaborated with prominent gospel artists such as Dr. Mbuvi and Princess Faridah.

Throughout his career, Prosper has featured in local music awards, including the Groove Awards, Mwafaka Awards, and Xtreme Tineez Music Awards. He has also worked with the Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC), performing at state functions and various events across Kenya.
