This week, Kenya's music scene bursts with fresh energy as new soul-stirring songs grace the airwaves.
From the bustling streets of Nairobi to the tranquil shores of Mombasa, artists have put their minds and energy into producing great songs.
These are the week’s new songs that you can add to your weekend playlist
H-art The Band – Barua
The Kenyan favourite trio is back with a new banger ‘Barua’ a laidback love song. ‘Barua’ has a slow tempo with beautiful guitar sounds in the background. The trio are lyrical as they tackle the murky world of love.
Fire Bwize – Waambie Watulie
If you are a Lingala lover, ‘Waambie Watulie’ should feature in your playlist. Fire Bwize delivers a lyrically powerful song thanking God for his gracious and immeasurable providence in his life. To spice things up, he features Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu in the song as a vixen.
Masauti – Wayoo
The voice from the coast is here with an amazing new song ‘Wayoo’ where he is all praises for the woman of his dream. He confesses his deep and unending love.
Masauti ft Nadia Mukami – Kesho
‘Kesho’ is futuristic. Nadia wonders whether Masauti will love her in years to come when age catches up with her and the beauty he sees is no longer there. Surprisingly, Masauti also has the same fears on whether Nadia will love him when he balds and loses his energy.
Ninjike Atia – Joyce Wa Mamaa
Kikuyu Benga artist Joyce wa Mamaa is not done with serving hard love lessons as she releases a new song ‘Ninjike Atia.’
It loosely translates to ‘what do I do’ when she recalls all that she has been through with the man she loves to the end of the world.
She paints a one-way relationship with no reciprocation of love whatsoever but she is not ready to leave this relationship.
