Willy Paul has dropped his third album ‘Beyond Gifted.’

He features the crème-de-la-crème of African music in this 14-track album that took him two years to prepare.

‘Beyond Gifted’ highlights Willy Paul’s musical and diversity. The songs herein speak so much about his musical creativity and his vision in an industry that has become so dynamic.

One thing though is that his signature charm in production and delivery remains a bare minimum in this entire album.

Further his choice of featured artists gives the songs a continental appeal. For instance, he featured Nigerian Afrobeats star Iyanya in ‘Hello’ whose delivery is flawless.

Willy Paul goes in with more English lyrics than Swahili to ensure that non-Swahili speakers grasp the gist of his musical work.

Moreover, he featured Jamaican reggae artist Denyque in ‘Kataa Kataa’ whose chorus has beautiful Swahili lyrics that the Jamaican songstress delivers like a full Swahili-speaking native.

He also features his favourite Jamaican star Alaine in ‘Higher’. This is their third musical collabo and it has a definitive Caribbean feel.

The award-winning Kenyan star turned to Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay in ‘Put It In’ and she doesn’t disappoint.

Despite featuring top artists from Tanzania, Jamaica, Ghana and Nigeria, he did not feature any Kenyan artist in what he explained as a personal decision for ‘the peace of his mind’.
