Award-winning Ugandan artist Bebe Cool has opened up on his daughter Sophie Beata Nantongo Ssali’s interest in pursuing music just like him.

However, Bebe Cool isn’t all cut out for it because he also wants the young one to pursue medicine at the university because she has the brains for it.

The Ugandan singer born Moses Ssali told Juliana Kanayamozi in her YouTube show dubbed The Sit Down with Juliana that he is helping her establish a music brand which she can always bank on after her university studies.

The ‘Only You’ hitmaker stated that he hopes Sophie will pursue a medical degree so that, after she retires from music, she can establish a hospital and make a decent living.

According to him, music in Uganda only helps you when you're young and there's not enough money to support you as you become older.

Bebe Cool used his wife Zuena Kirema as an example of someone who has built a business around her brand. He claimed that in order to familiarize people with her name, he mentioned her frequently in interviews.

Out of this, Zuena established a business which she operates successfully from the brand that her husband helped her create.

With these lessons in mind and cognizant of an ever-changing future, he is equipping Sophie with relevant skills to make a decent life on and off music.
