How King Kaka, Nyashinski Have Helped Femi One Build Her Career

Kenyan rapper Femi One has opened up on how Kaka Empire and its founder fellow rapper King Kaka have helped her build a solid career.

Correcting misunderstandings regarding King Kaka's role in her music, Femi One made it clear that although she is signed under his label, his direct impact on her music is minimal.

Nevertheless, she lauded his consistent support and significant contributions in guiding the creative direction of her projects which has built her music career in a big way.

“Kaka really comes through for me in terms of creative direction. He designs all my posters and all my album covers. He is very good at it,” she said.

Femi One appreciated the support that her boss accords her despite having a busy schedule daily and personal music projects to attend to.

She made light of King Kaka's erratic sleep schedule while praising his commitment to seeing things work right from his label, signed artists and his music too.

“He only sleeps for like two hours, Namwambiaga siku moja mwili yake itashut down, sleep is very important,” she added.

The ‘B.A’ hitmaker also brought up her partnerships with Nyashinski, describing them as crucial periods in her career. Referring to this occurrence as the "Nyash effect," she admitted that her collaboration with the award-winning Kenyan rapper elevated her music status.

They collaborated on ‘Under The Influence’ last year and it has been a big hit. What Femi One loves about this collaboration is that people treat her better and differently since its release.

Those who had earlier denied her a collabo reached out to her and she is enjoying the new status.
