The once-famous Ugandan music group Blu*3 has announced that they will embark on a tour beyond the Ugandan borders.

Made up of talented artists; Jackie Chandiru, Lilian Mbabazi and Cinderella Sanyu, Blu*3 had a beautiful reunion on Wednesday.

They held a beautiful concert where they announced that they will share their old musical charm with fans beyond Uganda.

The trio responded to a comment by a fan who requested them to perform in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi because they are deeply loved.

In response, the artists said they are looking forward to performing outside Uganda.

“Rest assured, we are actively considering various tour opportunities, and your support means a great deal to us. Please stay tuned to our official channels for any updates on future tour plans. Thank you for your enthusiasm and continued support!”

Sheraton Kampala Gardens will host Blu*3’s Reunion Concert, on June 22, 2024. This concert was originally scheduled for March 8 but it was postponed.

Blu*3 emerged in Uganda's music scene during the early 2000s, swiftly gaining popularity for their fusion of R&B, pop, and Afrobeat.

The trio, consisting of Cindy Sanyu, Jackie Chandiru, and Lilian Mbabazi, captivated audiences with their harmonies and energetic performances. Their hits like "Hitaji" and "Obsession" dominated airwaves, elevating them to icon status in East Africa.

However, internal conflicts and individual aspirations led to the group's breakup in 2009. Reports suggested tensions over creative direction, personal differences, and solo ambitions contributed to the split.

Despite their disbandment, each member continued to pursue successful solo careers, further solidifying their influence in Ugandan music.

After a decade, they find themselves back together and they are ready to entertain East Africa once more.
