Ugandan artist Sheebah Karungi alias Queen Sheebah is more than confident that she will remain in Uganda’s music industry as a beacon of talent and success for decades to come.

The ‘Bwepaba’ singer in a recent interview said that she has a unique touch in music and this is the reason she releases hit after hit even when some people write her off.

She invests a lot of time and effort in making good music and it is her hardwork that makes her who she is.

Being a Ugandan artist has made Sheebah discover that creativity is what makes everyone unique.

"Art is how unique you are. That's why till today they say, she can't sing but every time I release a song it goes number one. Because there is some uniqueness in what I'm doing and apart from that, I invest time and effort and I work hard, and trust me, I'll beat that talent that doesn't work hard,” she told NRG Uganda.

Her childhood struggles  - growing up as a child to a single mother and dropping out of school as teenager – makes her work harder and think outside the box every time.

Her love for music took off when she joined the Obsessions Music Group in 2006 after first joining the Stingerz dancing group.

After exiting Obsessions, her solo career flourished. Her first big break occurred in 2014 when her hit song "Ice Cream," which was also the title of her debut EP, was released.

Her standing in the Ugandan music scene was cemented by this project and she has been soaring since then.
