He made his first original hip-hop composition in 1998 and recorded his first documented song in 2005. He is celebrated to have had 300 minutes of non-stop play on stage in 2008, among being the first to use the internet to reach his fans. He was also nominated in Germany for the most promising African artiste in 2009 for his first album “Ndani Yangu”.

Influx Swagga, one of the many Kenyan hip-hop artistes doing other genres of music for money, to entertain and keep themselves relevant to the media but still use hip-hop to pass heavy messages to enemies and critics while keeping his ancient hip-hop fans. He did not grow up in an urban setting like many other rappers but was bought up in Mwingi, a rural town in Kitui County.

His father and grandfather were musicians who rocked their times in with other music genres and compositions. He is credited with coming open during a time that it was like a crime to do urban music and making hip-hop an acceptable genre in Kenya .

Influx has released five music albums, Ndani Yangu in 2008, Swagga Flani and Last Episode in 2011, Wazito in 2013 and Short Message in 2015 among several other mixtapes and now you can get to watch some of his new music pieces, with 'Wale Wale' being the first.
