Open letter to KIU Music, @88 miles per hour!
6 December 2013
Tracy, Rosa and Pauline hope you’re reading this. You guys are the best.
How I came to this conclusion is in consideration with your performance, not just last night during 88mph Investor Day at West House but at a few other events including our very own ‘Raw Mdundo’. Hope you got home safely by the way, it was a rainy night.
From where I was sitting with Eugene, Thiru, Nick, Abiola, Hannah [I will introduce you to these guys when we meet again, now your core fans] and a few others, your beautiful voices and harmonies blended so well it moved us to a point we were just yearning for more.
I remember Eugene walking straight to the stage to make you play ‘The City’. Such a nice tune that got our OM at Mdundo Thiru Mungai asking me, “Do we have these girls on Mdundo Peter?”… yes we do Thiru. I can answer your question now.
Your energy on stage! It’s simply out of this planet. How do little girls have such energy? Wait, you performed for nearly 2 hours non-stop. You danced, you moved around holding to the mic and by the time you finished the hype was even way better than when you started. Wow! I just love your music.
The point of greatest intensity was when we all jumped on stage during the very last performance and had a small dance battle. I can only remember 88’s Martin, Nikolai, James and Barbra kicking the air with crazy moves I’ve never seen. Haha! It was sad to see you put the mic down.
To anyone out there who has not had the opportunity to witness this all girl group perform live, you’re missing out on the best experience of great music ever. To KIU, Continue to make us thirsty for more!
88mph Investor Day was successful with Jeff Koinange’s ‘small benches’, I liked each and every interview after presentation especially Mdundo’s by Martin and Thiru. The ship has a strong team. Keep it strong 88mph, the best place to start a successful business venture. Invest or Die!
