Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica doesn’t see the need to collaborate with fellow superstar Jose Chameleone.

In a candid interview with Galaxy TV, the Ugandan rapper laid bare his reasons for not seeking a collabo with Chameleone who is a big artist.

The rising star expressed a belief that teaming up with Chameleone wouldn't significantly impact his music career as most protagonists look at it.

So far, he said that he has managed to wade through the Ugandan music scene without a lot of collaborations with seasoned artists.

He said he would only collaborate with the ‘Valu Valu’ hitmaker if they both feel they have the right synergy to collaborate.

"I can manage on my own. I don't see why I need to look for Chameleone for a collabo. Unless we both feel it and decide to drop a duet..." stated Fameica.

The rapper, born Shafik Walukagga in Kawempe on January 10, 1996, has built an impressive portfolio with notable collaborations.

His recent collabos  "Bwe Paba" with Sheebah Karungi, produced by D'Mario and Artin Pro, and "Pose" with Kateleya & Kandle, featured on their "Call It Love EP."

He also joined forces with B2C on "Crazy Company," showcasing his versatility across genres.

The synergy he exhibited with these artists stirred questions on why he is yet to collaborate with Chameleone.

The ‘Sitoma’ hitmaker started his journey by selling second-hand clothes and recording at Jahlive's studio in Makindye.

Back in the day, his passion for musical success burned so deep that he recorded some of his songs on borrowed beats which taught him crucial music production skills.

He then graduated to producing original tracks like "Mutuwulira" which deeply reflect his dedication to musical evolution.

He never forgets how far he has come to be a popular name in Uganda’s music industry. Fameica attended various schools in Kawempe and captured the attention of singers who frequented Jahlive's studio.

His meteoric rise has inspired a lot of young people and they believe that a collabo with Chameleone will bolster his career even more.
