Following the anticipation built by two electrifying tracks, the ascent of Kenyan rapper Ganjor reached its peak with the release of his debut EP, "Gangsta Love."

Ganjor's signature sound is an exciting fusion of international flavours, blending hip-hop, dancehall, and electronic music with the rich linguistic tapestry of Swahili and sheng.

Kicking off the EP is the sensual title track. “Gangsta Love” is a sonic experiment that opens with vibrant trumpets, teasing minimalism before diving into an 80s techno interlude. 

The result is a rare hip-hop groove with a romantic flair captured in the lyrics, "She tells me baby hurry, I wanna be your lady, she tells me all she needs is some Gangsta Love."

According to Ganjor, "It's a song for couples who don't see each other often. But when they do, it's like in the movies. They get an Airbnb in the city, and have the time of their lives, but in the morning they got to go."

The fire continues with "Rambo," a blazing mix of hip-hop, bass, and electronic beats to ignite all the senses. With hard-hitting rap lyrics like "Nilikushow kutoka kitambo, I'm a beast narule mitambo", the Kenyan rapper echoes unshakeable confidence in his musical career.

About the song's bold message, Ganjor shares, "Rambo is about the people who doubted me. I declared long ago that I'll make huge waves in the global music industry."

And the crescendo arrives with the infectious "Nairobi Love". In the vibrant Kenyan dance floor anthem, Ganjor pays homage to the greatest city in Africa which he calls home. Its colourful music video features two incredible Kenyan dancers and is a perfect treat for TikTok dance lovers.
