Is Wizkid Releasing New Album After Unfollowing Everyone on Instagram Except Naira Marley?

Celebrated Nigerian singer Wizkid has left his fans with more questions than answers following his move to unfollow everyone on Instagram except fellow rapper Naira Marley. 

He hasn’t spoken on why he unfollowed a dozen people including fellow Nigerian performers and only chose to follow the Marlian Records boss. 

This is despite having a huge following of 17 million people and only has 45 posts. It is not the first time Wizkid is pulling a surprise move with his Instagram page. 

He deleted hundreds of his posts on Instagram in June 2022 and left only one post. This was before the release of his album ‘More Love Less Ego’ which he released in 2022. 
Wizkid first pulled this move after deleting all his Instagram posts in 2019 ahead of the release of his widely-acclaimed album, ‘Made In Lagos’. 

Music pundits said it was a strategy to draw attention about his, then, album release. However, given his fame and huge following, some people feel that this move is uncalled for. 
With this new move, it is likely that he is readying for the release of a new musical project.

He recently collaborated with Naira Marley in ‘Wow’ a riveting hit that is one of the few songs he featured the rapper on.
