Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid is one of the artists who will work on the Marvel animation Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse movie alongside Metro Boomin.

The Nigerian Grammy Award winning artist was included as one of the features on the soundtrack project along with top American hip hop acts. They include ASAP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Offset, and Swae Lee among others.

Metro Boomin posted on his social media the musicians who will be featured on the soundtrack as well as the release date which will be June 2, 2023. This is a major success for Wizkid who recently served as a headliner at the Afronation Miami Festival.

Afronation held the Miami stop of its global tour, and various Afrobeats musicians attended to entertain the crowd with Nigerian music.

Wizkid headlined the festival’s two-day performance and he left the crowd mesmerized with his curated playlist of his hit songs. He performed alongside BNXN to perform their joint single ""Mood"" from his Grammy-nominated album ""Made In Lagos.""

Wizkid and Burna Boy headlined the festival and the likes of Asake, CKay, Rema and BNXN came along as supporting acts. South African artists Major League DJz, Focalistic, Musa Keyz, Nissi, Uncle Waffles and Ghanaian acts; Black Sherif, Dadju and Gyakie also performed at the festival.
