Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has released a new song ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’.

This is his first release of 2023 following the release of his sixth studio album ‘Love Damini’ in 2022.

‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ is a departure from his popular Afrobeats approach that the world know him for. 
On this one, Burna Boy takes yet another incredible R&B feel.  The African Giant sampled Brandy's ""On Top Of The World"" which gives it a complete R&B feel.

He delivers the lyrics in his charismatic Nigerian style with straight shooting American lyrics.  The song’s visuals mirror an American swag which is in line with the whole vibe of ‘Sittin’ On Top of The World’.

Brandy colours it all with her reverberating smooth vocals in the background. Once again, Burna Boy demonstrates both his versatility and his desire to create music for a global audience. This being his second sample of an American hit, the ‘On The Low’ hitmaker drew inspiration from ‘Last Last’ off ‘Love Damini’ album.

He sampled Toni Braxton’s ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ and it quickly peaked as the top charter of his last album. 
‘Last Last’ remains a steady record in US charts. Burna Boy disclosed that Braxton takes 60% of the song’s royalties because all he ever wanted was to do his song off the beats from ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’.
