Iyanya’s Music Dream Is Working With Burna Boy

Legendary Afrobeats artist Iyanya has tasted the highs and lows of music and his one wish is collaborating with Burna Boy. 
Iyanya holds that has held onto this desire for long and it grows stronger with each day he makes music. Further, his musical tribulations in the past made him want to collaborate with the African giant, he told Cool FM.
The ‘One Side’ hitmaker recently shocked his fans after disclosing that there were moments he begged for shows from promoters. 
This was in 2021 and things weren’t working out for him. He initially tweeted about it saying most promoters turned him down. 
“Last year December 2021, I performed at 3 shows, one paid and I begged to perform at 2 just to be seen,” he tweeted in December 2022. 
He calls it a year of self-reflection and evaluation that made him change a few things in how he does music. The humbling moment brought the realization of collaborating with Burna Boy.
With support by Davido, Ayra Starr, Kizz Daniel, Don Jazzy among other Nigerian artist, he bounced back. 
His phone rang endlessly in 2022 as promoters booked him for shows. Then, he had released ‘One Side’ which did well. 
At the time of its release, Burna Boy had also released his sixth studio album ‘Love Damini’ and it renewed Iyanya’s zeal to work with the African Giant.
