Kenyan boyband Sauti Sol has announced that it will soon take an indefinite break after 18 years of activity in the music industry. In an official statement that the band released to the public, it pointed out that its four members will part ways to focus on solo music careers. Although the band stated that the break up will be indefinite, a good section of stakeholders in the music industry believe that it is permanent.

""While the indefinite hiatus marks the end of a specific chapter, it also represents a new beginning for Sauti Sol. As close friends and business partners, the band members, Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Polycarp Otieno, and Savara Mudigi, are eager to explore fresh creative avenues and embark on personal endeavors. However, their friendship and shared vision will continue to be the driving force behind their future projects,"" a section of the statement read.

Sauti Sol is set to embark on a world music tour before parting ways. The four music stars, Bien Baraza, Polycarp Otieno, Willis Chimano, and Savara Mugidi will entertain their fans in 5 cities across the U.S, followed by 10 other destinations across Europe and 4 stops in Canada.

The majority of fans have praised the band for its great hit songs throughout nearly two decades. The band ruled the airwaves with hit songs such as; 'Suzanna', 'Sura Yako', 'Extravaganza', 'Kuliko Jana', 'Melanin', 'Rhumba Japani', 'Short N Sweet', 'Feel My Love', 'nenda Lote' among many others.
