Ghanaian rapper Strongman has more questions than answers regarding the Vodaphone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

He says that despite getting four nominations in the past years, he has never won any of them.
In the 2023 VGMA, he landed a nomination under Best Rapper of the Year category but still lost it.
He claims that despite his extraordinary abilities in his rap, he has never won an award and it makes him what he is doing wrong.

Four consecutive nominations is not an easy task, I am the only one on this soil, the only one in Ghana to have four years of four Best Rapper nominations,” he said in an interview with TV3’s New Day.
He wonders what else he should do differently to earn the award because he composes and produces his music with an eye for VGMA.

Despite all this, he is not angry that he did not win because he is aware Ghana has accepted him as evidenced by his four VGMA nomination.
“For me not picking the award that is also another story because personally, I don’t know what I am supposed to do again. Because I have been doing it, for me to stay that consented for these number of years, it speaks volume and I am not angry I don’t win,” he added.
