Ghanaian Afrobeats talent KiDi has discounted rumours that he is battling a liver disease and a stroke.
He took a two-month musical sabbatical and cancelled his American show citing health concerns.

The ‘Touch It’ hitmaker, however, did not explain what he was ailing from thereby sparking speculation about his condition.
With his social media absence for weeks, rumours of a stroke took on and everyone thought that he had suffered a stroke.

He now says that he took time off social media to have time for himself and focus on getting better but it ended up swirling wild rumours.
Then, the ‘liver disease’ rumours added fuel to the fire following his recent release ‘I Lied’ where he says ‘If I show you my liver, you go take me to prayer’.

He asked his fans and the entire Ghanaian music industry to celebrate him when he is still alive.
While ‘I Lied’ carries an undertone of a man battling a serious disease, he says that a part of his lyrics are artistic creativity inspired by real life experiences.
He is not battling a liver problem or a stroke as rumour has it in town.
“I don’t have a stroke. It was one of the craziest thing I have ever heard. I want to state categorically, I do not have a liver disease” he stated during an interview with Sika Osei on ‘Stripped’.

KiDi had earlier in April broken his silence on the issue calling out rumour mongers.
“A little under two months ago, I made the painful decision of cancelling my tour to take care of my health that included taking time off social media.

“Unfortunately, a few bad actors took this as an opportunity to spread false stories that got a lot of you very concerned. While I do not want to give it any more attention, I want to categorically address that those stories were false,” he wrote on hi social media handles.
