Amerado Celebrated Rapper of the Year Amerado Burner has spoken on his industry colleague Eno Baroney deserving a Vodaphone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nomination year.
Amerado said that Baroney has great music which she released in 2022 which were a reason enough to give her a nomination to the now concluded awards.
He pointed out their collaboration 'Finish Line’ which he said should have been considered in nominating her but it never happened.
""I agree 100 percent. I did a very hard song with her. 'Finish Line’ and I expected it to be in there. You know it is a scheme and I know if she works her way through it she will come back. She's won it before and so she is always good to come back,” he told Paula Amma Broni of Ghana Web.
In March 2023, Eno Barony expressed her displeasure with Charterhouse, the VGMA's organisers, for failing to nominate her songs that had topped the charts for the year in review.
During a discussion with Doreen Avio, she admitted that she forwarded two songs, ""Finish Line"" and ""Don't Judge Me,"" to the VGMA board but they were rejected.
Following this, she said that although it’s disappointing, awards do not define her or her music.
But VGMA recognition wouldn’t have hurt her because her 2022 songs have done pretty well with some of them topping different charts in and out of Ghana.
