Award winning Ghanaian gospel artist Piesie Esther is hopeful that young and celebrated drill rapper Black Sherif will one day switch to gospel music.

Esther said that Sherif has a perfect voice which he should push towards evangelism. She appreciated the musician's hard work over the past two years and citing that he is one of the secular artists that he greatly admires.

“He has that kind of powerful voice. I love his voice. It is my wish that someday he will come and join me in the gospel,” she said during an interview with Joy FM.
Given the zeal with which he sings with, Esther is convinced that the gospel music industry would benefit from his talent and help people know more about God.
She explained in music, there is always the possibility of cross-genre and cross-religious artistic collaboration.

Therefore; while Black Sherif's music is secular, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he collaborated with a gospel artist.
Both artists won big at the Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). Black Sherif won the Artist of the Year Award which Esther was closely eyeing.
Through ‘Kwaku The Traveller’, Sherif won the Most Popular Song of the Year category, and the Best Hip Hop Song.
Esther won the Gospel Song of The Year category courtesy of her song ‘Wayε Me Yie’.
