Her name alone shakes the heavens, her looks rival the Greek goddess Aphrodite, and her voice? Ladies and gentlemen her voice, would have stopped the Hiroshima bombs! Kenyan singer/ songwriter Avril is more than a sight to a sore eye, she is a voice that is heard by even the deaf! She may have joined Mdundo just recently but her musical prowess beat the odds of time as we see her Afropop nomination with her comeback song ‘Nikimuona’.
The song was released late last year and after a long while of ‘where did Avril go?’ fans’ ears were graced with her angelic voice in which she made emotion almost tangible. And in this nomination it is clear that fans loved the song since as I have been insisting, the nomination for each category is determined by the downloads the artists have.
