“Rabbit”! Here’s a name you will always find yourself mouthful whenever you start speaking of his musical accomplishments. The modern day Shakespeare is on the list of the Mdundo Music Awards Hip-hop nominees and for this reason we caught up with him to get his two cents on the nomination:

How do you feel about this nomination?

Am humbled for the recognition and my fans are to thank for everything. Their love is what makes me make this art; every time I make a song they show appreciation which is what rows my artistic boat.

Last year you got both nominated and awarded, what’s your trick?

Nothing but hard work!  I have a passion for what I do and it is for this reason I can never pull back my chair, sit and brag of my accomplishments so far. My mind is always in constant thought of ‘what more can I do’. There may be competition out there, but you should be your own biggest competition. As for last year’s nomination, I really didn’t expect it since it was the first Mdundo Awards ceremony but I was happy for the recognition- these awards should be a motivation to artists all over the globe.

To that person who shares a passion for music like you and wishes to reach such levels as you, what are the three words they should live by?

Passion, persistence and God! Those three can take you anywhere!
