Stonebwoy Releases 5th Dimension Album

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star Stonebwoy has released his much-anticipated ‘5th Dimension’ album. 

The new album serves as his fifth career album, rewriting his history as a Ghana Afro-Dancehall pioneer who gave Ghana and the world dancehall, reggae and Afro-fusion blends. 

With 17 tracks, he brings a unique musical sound and power with trap, hip-hop, reggae and Afrobeat fusion throughout the album. ‘5th Dimension’ squarely puts him on the map as one of Africa’s most promising artists. 

During his pre-album promotional tour, Stonebwoy told The Voice that this album is characterized by ‘sound, power and word’. One of the high-profile guest artists on the album is British rapper Stormzy on the record 'Life & Money'.

Stormzy personifies the hip hop and drill aspect of this album while Oxlade and Tiwa Savage liven up the project with Afrobeats on their featured song ‘Therapy’. Davido in ‘Activate’ also brings his Afrobeat magic. 

Other featured artists include Shaggy on 'My Sound', South African Amapiano star DJ Maphorisa on 'Apotheke' and Grammy Award-winning artist Angelique Kidjo on Manodzi'. Since 2012, Stonebwoy has been firmly representing the continent on the musical map through international touring, outstanding collaborations, and massively popular singles.

He has collaborated with a wide range of international artists, including Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz, Burna Boy, Alpha Blondie, and many others. On ‘5th Dimension’, the Def Jam Recordings artist went closer home to Nigeria, South Africa and Benin and only featured Shaggy as an international artist.
