Crayon Releases New Song - The One (Chop Life) feat Yaba Buluku Boyz

Mavin Records singer, Crayon has just released a brand new song 'The One (Chop Life)' featuring Yaba Buluku Boyz.

The making of the record is just as interesting as the song is. It has a resident Afrobeats theme to it but it is also infused with Amapiano effects as well from the start to the end. 

Crayon recalls recording the song two days after Christmas Day last year which explains its celebratory feel as soon as it plays. He never wanted to go to the studio on December 27 despite Mobolaji Abikoye calling him and telling him that Yaba Buluku Boyz would be in the studio.

He lied just to save his skin but Abikoye pushed him to the edge and he finally agreed to leave his party and headed to the studio. “When @thegovn called and told me that the yababuluku boyz wanted us to link up that day, ngl lie I told him straight up like Bruhh I’m in festive mood! I don’t feel like going to studio! Cos omo it’s Christmas period na ahhhh! Ahn ahn I no go rest. I swear I didn’t want to go the studio that day tbh. I want to thank @thegovn specially for not giving up,” he wrote on Instagram. 

DJ Tarico, one of the Yaba Baluku Boyz members played Crayon's ‘The One' beat and the low moods he had for recording a song quickly vanished. He hopped onto the mic and delivered a masterpiece all through the night dotted by merrymaking at the studio while recording.
