Ghanaian female rapper Efia Odo has a penchant for controversy but it is surprising that her music is not to impress people but to satisfy her passion to do music.

She says that anytime she walks into the studio, she does music from a place of passion and not the fame or money that comes with being a celebrity artist. Thus, if Ghanaians boycotted her music, she would never be at a loss.

“I won't worry about that. I do it with passion, so even if Ghanaians or some Ghanaians don't think of me as a musician, there are still going to be other people who will. I keep repeating that it is not through force. Several musicians in this nation have been recording music for over five years, yet they have yet to get 2000 YouTube views,” she told MzGee on United Showbiz. She remarked that her growth in the entertainment industry is a result of patience, the urge to get better and constant learning. The 'Roll Over' rapper also cited that with a strong commitment to keep growing, nothing is impossible in the entertainment industry. She picked Ghanaian influencer Kwadwo Sheldon as a perfect example of focus, commitment and patience. Despite starting small, he is now a top influencer in Ghana, thanks to his patience.

Efia recently released her first single of the year 'Roll Over' and will be looking to treat fans to more singles this year.
