Veteran Nigerian singer Banky W had his acceptance speech and a new office in Abuja ready with the hope that he would win the Eti Osa constituency seat in the 2023 General Elections.

The singer cum gospel minister was vying on a Peoples Democratic Party ticket but Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party trounced him. For the first time since the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) released the poll results, Banky W broke the ice on what life is and the expectations he had.

In a video posted on Instagram where he was addressing the congregation of the Water Brooks Church, he says that he was extremely disappointed when he lost the polls. The ‘Made For You’ singer said that in anticipation of his success, he had made numerous arrangements, such as setting up a Sunday thanksgiving plan and looking for a flat and office in Abuja. He said that he found the strength to move on even with all the hurt feelings from losing an election.

“For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled,” he captioned the video.
