Mavin Records artist and Nigerian sensation Ayra Starr will perform in Nairobi, Kenya on March 4.

The ‘Bloody Samaritan’ hitmaker will be the main guest artist at the Shoke Shoke Festival, a green arm of the Mwanaume Ni Effort (MNE) movement. She will be performing at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC). Shoke Shoke Festival is a sustainable event that combines collaborations, social impact, and enjoyment for future generations.

The event is guided by the need to live sustainably and support sustainable behaviours in Kenya and beyond every year. The event’s organizers chose the Nigerian Afropop singer against the backdrop of her newly-found fame following the release of her hit song ‘Rush’.

She released this record in October 2022 and it became an instant hit in Nigeria and extended to other parts of Africa including Kenya. Its reception on the international music scene is impressive. American RnB singer Rita Ora recently told her that she is in love with ‘Rush’ and the song also just clocked 100 million views on YouTube.

A week ago, Ayra Starr publicly confessed that the success this song has given her stirs up emotions and she doesn’t know how to deal with them. Besides ‘Rush’, her Kenyan fans expect an electrifying performance which will include her latest release ‘Sability’ and other big tunes such as ‘Bloody Samaritan’, ‘Away’ and ‘Memories’.
