Afrobeats crooner Burna Boy continues to shine in the international stage courtesy of his last album ‘Love, Damini’ now certified silver in the UK.

This new development adds to the success that ‘Last Last’, one of the singles off this album has made so far.

‘Last Last’ which samples Toni Braxton’s ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ peaked at No.4 on the UK Official Singles Chart.

In Burna Boy’s sixth album, ‘For Your Hand’ featuring British singer Ed Sheeran also became a popular hit back in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

This 19-track album also featured another UK artist, J Hus in ‘Cloak & Dagger’. These songs delivered Burna Boy a silver certification according to Brit awards.

Ideally, ‘Love Damini’ managed to garner over one million streams and sold over 200,000 units in the UK alone for it to receive silver certification.

Surprisingly, there were a dozen negative reviews when Burna Boy released his sixth studio album.

The critics felt that it was no match to his fifth studio album ‘Twice As Tall’ and his fourth studio album ‘African Giant’.

However, it proved naysayers wrong by registering massive airplay in Nigeria, the US and the UK.

‘Love Damini’ earned Burna Boy two Grammy nominations as a result in best world music and best global song performance categories.
