From hard times to life of fame

Kenn Eddy Krezi is no longer a stranger to gospel music fanatics having been in the industry for close to five years now.

His latest song Testimony has added a grip on that being one of the most downloaded tracks on Mdundo since last week.

“Testimony was inspired by everything I have been through while growing up. I was the last born in a family of 10 children living in the slums of Mathare and I know how it feels like to have nothing. There were days we went without food and couldn’t afford clothes and other basic necessities,” Krezi told Mdundo in an interview.

He added that the song was meant to “inspire people to see that God can take you from nothing and make you something. He can turn your tears and make them your testimony like he has done for me because his mercies are new every morning.”

The gospel rapper is currently working on a new single, Surface, a collaboration with fellow artists ChuChu to drop in October.

Some of his other hits include Young Kenyan and Saved, downloadable on Mdundo.
