Multi-award-winning Kenyan music star Khaligraph Jones has released a new hit song dubbed 'Kamnyweso' in collaboration with sensational rapper Mejja.  'Kamwenyeso' is track number eight on Khaligraph's Invisible Currency album. The 17-track album which was released early this year featured celebrated artists from within and beyond Kenya.

'Kamnyweso' has been produced by music producer Vinc On The Beat. The beat of the song features local instrumentals with its origin stemming from the Kenyan music identity. The song was written and performed by Khaligraph Jones and Mejja.

A lot of investment was made in the lyrism of the song. Throughout the four minutes and three seconds of the song, the artists present varied melodies and rap styles. Khaligraph opens the track with his identity rap style before switching to dancehall and back to Hip Hop. The mastery at which he played with the tempo of the song in his verses gives no room for monotony.

Mejja joins in the second half of the song. He takes his fans by surprise with his verse. The star who is popular for rapping in the sheng' slang makes a surprise entrance with an English verse. He then switches back to Sheng' before stepping his tempo up gradually.

The music video, on the other hand, has been directed by Ricky Bekko. This being a club banger, one would not have expected the Kenyan tradition and culture to be featured in it. The music video, however, presents a beautiful feature of the Maasai community from their attire to their traditional dances.

'Kamnyweso' has shaken up the music scene and shot to the trending charts within a few hours of its release.
