Kizz Daniel Releases New Single "Cough" - Listen

Nigerian superstar Kizz Daniel has released a new single, ‘Cough’ (Odo). 

The whole song is a typical Kizz Daniel tune with an upbeat tempo laced with a hard piano that sets the party mood instantly. Its production had dancing in mind. Kizz’s lyrics are moderately paced, perhaps to let the love message set and sink in better. 

The bass instrumental and the piano sounds harmonize his voice which sounds loveably rugged. His fans were impressed by this production by Philkeyz. He told the Guardian Nigeria that his intent was to explore the feeling of having a new love.

“For this song, I wanted to highlight the feeling of new love. The song itself is energetic, celebratory and really captures what it’s like to impress someone new,” he says.

“This guy has mastered his sound - He's just too good, and the originality in his songs are always 101%,” a fan, Olesugun Alabi wrote. Kiki With The Good Hair said Kizz Daniel’s songs are deeply satisfying. “Kizz daniel is always on point, listening to him is so satisfying and he takes the bad energy away.”

‘Cough’ follows his most successful single of the year ‘Buga’ which he featured Tekno.  The song topped Google searches for the past six months of 2022.
