A few months after award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats singer Kizz Daniel shook the world with ‘Buga’, he is back with a new single ‘cough’ set for release on Friday. 

Kizz Daniel posted a teaser video for his upcoming single on his Instagram account. In the clip, Kizz Daniel is seen dancing to the song alongside some friends. 

This new single from Kizz Daniel features his signature chorus and an infectious groove. ‘Cough’ comes after ‘Buga’ which he featured Tekno and hit the zenith of his commercial success with his music.

The continental hit came about to celebrate effort, success, and a good mentality. Kizz Daniel and Tekno, drawing on Buga's lyrics, make the case that people should be pleased with themselves for their efforts in becoming wealthy.

This song became the most-searched music on Google in the first half of 2022. Surprisingly, 'Buga' is also often regarded as one of the most commercially successful songs to come out of Nigeria.  The song has been well-received on both the home front and abroad, with listeners of all ages giving it a thumbs up. When he initially uploaded the lyric video in May, it went viral almost immediately. 

He has already set the bar high and his fans and new listeners expect ‘Cough’ to be as good as Buga.
