Fast-rising music star Bridget Blue has released her debut album titled 'Colours'. The 8-tack project has been produced by So Fresh under the Digit One Music Group record label. The cover image, on the other hand, was done by Muma Pix.

The title of the album stems from the fact that seven out of the eight songs have been designated specific colours. The arrangement of the colours from the first to the last song corresponds with the pattern of the rainbow.

The main theme addressed in the album is love. The singer has a unique way of tackling love matters, from happiness, and sadness to heartbreaks. Her voice bears the emotion of the song making it easier for her to control the mood of the jam.

Bridget Blue through the 8 RnB singles displays her immense talent and versatility in various aspects of music. The first song on the album is dubbed 'Window (Red)'. The jam is a slow RnB song with a little vibe of soft rock. The three minutes and 12 seconds love song presents Bridget Blue's calm but powerful voice. 'Window (Red) is then followed by 'Brunt (Orange)', 'Ticking (Yellow)', 'Colours', 'Woman (Green)', 'Gimmi Your Love (Blue)', 'Times (Indigo)', and 'Goodbye (Violet)' respectively.

The youngster in a recent interview explained that the album is a reflection of who she is as an artist and individual. She further confessed that the album has been her long-term dream citing that at some point it appeared to be unachievable.

"So the whole album basically is different sides of me expressing who I am in terms of music and also as a person. It's unbelievable, especially because it's my first one. And it was one of those things that I was looking at like it was a farthing. It didn't look that achievable at this time," The songstress stated.

Bridget Blue advised upcoming artists to figure out the genres they want to sing and stick to them to the end. She further added that the rising stars should not bow down to pressure to change who they are or what they stand for.

Apart from the release of the debut album, Bridget Blue is also celebrating her nominations at the AFRIMA Awards in the categories of Song Writer of the Year, Best Female Artist in Africa Inspirational Music, and Best Artist, Duo or Group in African RnB & Soul.
